Problem
At first glance, it can be difficult to notice when a child is being harmed. Children often become skilled at hiding their struggles from the outside world. That’s why it’s important to listen carefully, look beyond the surface, and try to understand what they truly mean when they speak, just as BRIS does.
Insight
What troubles a child isn’t always visible at first glance.
Solution
To highlight the importance of not walking away after a first glance, I’ve used Swedish homophones, words that sound the same but have different meanings. This reflects how easy it is to misunderstand what a child is really going through if you only take things at face value, or lack the experience to recognise the signs. It also shows how BRIS understands what to listen for and knows how to interpret what’s actually being said.
